Aftercare
All information provided is a guide only
Failure to follow aftercare may result in loss of pigmentation, discolouration or infection
What to expect
Day 1: I love my new brows!!
Day 2-4: Oh no, they’re WAY too dark. What have I done?!
Day 5-9: They’re all scabbing and flaking off, gross!
Day 10+: Where have my brows are gone?? They’ve faded so much
The next 4+ weeks: Yay, they’re back! They’re a little patchy though hmmm.
After Perfecting Session: I am FLAWLESS. Nothing can stop me now.
It can take 6-8 weeks (sometimes longer) for the true colour of your new brows to show through.
Be patient and don’t forget to book in your Perfecting Session.
What’s normal?
Exposure to the sun can cause fading over time.
Chemical face peels, microdermabrasion, retinoids/retinols etc can lighten and fade the pigment over time.
Use of laser procedures (such as laser hair removal and laser resurfacing) may discolour, fade, darken or otherwise alter your cosmetic tattoo.
Brow Aftercare
You will be following a ‘Dry Heal’ method during the next 2 weeks which involves not a lot!
For the next 14 days keep it out of the sun, don’t put on any after care creams, make up or skin care on or near yours brows. Avoid sweating and let it breathe.
Things Not To Do

If you suffer from cold sores please head to the chemist and get Famvir (to be taken on the day of your appointment and as directed)
Please also obtain Lysine and start taking 7-10 days prior to your next appointment.
When applying aftercare cream, ensure your hands are clean or that you are using a new cotton tip/lip wand.
Most importantly, do not pick or scratch!

- Pop on a fresh pillowcase
- Showers - Keep your face out of the shower stream and keep your shower times short. Too much steam will be detrimental to the healing/retention of your cosmetic tattoo.
- Use disposable make up wipes or cotton pads so you have control over how close you get to the treated area.
- If you have combination or oily skin get some oil blotting paper (product free/powder free) and gently pat the treated area. Use around 3 times a day or as needed.
Things Not To Do
- Avoid getting any shampoo/conditioner, body wash, cosmetics or face products on the treated area.
- Please avoid using Retinoids, Tretinoin, glycolic acid, AHA’s, Vitamin C and other medicated creams such as pigmentation treatments on or near your treated area.
- No picking/itching. I know it will be super hard! Let the flakes fall off naturally. Picking/itching can hinder healing and potentially lead to scarring, loss of pigmentation and infection.
- No wearing make up on the treated area until fully healed
- No excessive exercising/sweating until the flakes have naturally fallen off.
- Keep out of sunlight/tanning beds during healing.
- No waxing, threading, plucking or using hair removal products until the area is full healed.
- No swimming pools, baths, oceans or bodies of water for 2 weeks (or until fully healed).
